Holiday Lane
Editor's Note
We are in the holiday stretch. Chanukah will start before the next newsletter is published and Christmas is very close, too. I still have shopping to do! This weekend will be brisk weather-wise, and rainy weather is going to hold off. Great time to get shopping.
My youngest and last child had his fourth birthday this week. Which means I will need to register him for kindergarten soon. I can hardly believe that my baby is getting so big.
Speaking of things that change quickly, I have a giveaway for four tickets to Stepping Stones Children's Museum. This is a very short giveaway that will end in a week. If you have never been, you will be in for a treat. Stepping Stones is most appropriate for children 10 and under.
This is the last week to enter our giveaway for Disney on Ice at the XL Center. You can choose any of the shows to attend. The winner will be picked next Thursday and announced on Facebook and Twitter, and Google+.
If you really want to make sure your holidays are totally packed, you can check out Five Must-Do Holiday Activities for Kids, Christmas in Connecticut, which rounds up some great fun. When you the kids are tired out, find holiday classics on TV.
If you are wondering how to help your child with autism or other special needs enjoy one of the most beloved holiday classics, check out this New England Ballet Nutcracker performance tomorrow that will engage all ages and all abilities.
With Chanukah right around the corner, we have plenty of goodies in this newsletter. Yummy recipes like In between potato latkes, and apple latkes. I also have a recipe for sufgan yot. Get crafty with the kids making a menorah using hand prints and a bag for carrying a dreidel.
These cinnamon-applesauce ornaments smell delightful and, since any shape can be cut from the dough, can be for either Christmas or Chanukah or any other celebration.
Since there is nothing more adorable than crafts made with baby and kid feet, try these Christmas trees for a family keepsake.
Here are the quick links to the weekend's calendar of events (and they actually are updated to the right weekend!):

a.j. wear jewelry: Gift Idea
Classic style with a vintage flair
I would like to introduce you to Angie Mahoney of a.j. wear jewelry.
