The Pomperaug District Depart of Health reports that the State of Connecticut has mandated that all children aged 6 months to 59 months (just about 5 years old) that are attending a child care center are required to receive at least one dose of the flu vaccine between September 1 and December 31 of the preceding year. If the child has never been vaccinated, they should receive two doses of vaccine. As I recall the two doses had to be separated by some period of time. Please ask when receiving your first dose and be sure to go to one of the earlier clinics so there is time to have another before they end.
