Mom's Night Out at Alef Bet Preschool in Southbury

A night of camaraderie, refreshments, raffles, and shopping!

By Kim McNeill October 27, 2011

This event has been postponed and will be rescheduled one we are well underway to recovering from the massive power outages.

Everyone knows Mom needs a night off occasionally. Sometimes those nights need to be spent relaxing by yourself with a great book. Other times those nights are best spent in the company of friends and with some wine.

All of the moms I know are excellent multitaskers. If there is a way to do two things at once, then a mom will figure it out.

An excellent example is the Mom's Night Out benefitting Alef Bet Preschool.

Mom's Night Out gets Mom out of the house, chatting with friends and neighbors, and shopping at the same time. There will even be appetizer-type food in a buffet, wine, and desserts.

A $10 entrance fee pays for food, drinks, and 5 chances at a raffle giving away over $30 door prizes valued $15 and up. Along with all of that, there is a silent auction.

Mom's Night Out corals over 20 vendors in one place. Instead of driving all over town looking for different things to purchase, the vendors come to you. Talk about efficient!

It is an excellent time to get ideas for holiday shopping and pick up a few gifts (whew--another thing to cross off the list). However, to really indulge, pick up a gift for yourself, too.

Mom's Night Out is for moms of all ages and even if you are not a mom at all.
