Fun Factor in Middlebury is a familiar landmark for those of us with small children. Their bounce houses and amusements have saved many mothers from long days at home with bored kids. Did you know that Fun Factor also hosts special events? Last year Jody and Maggie, local moms and the Fun Factor Middlebury owners, started a summer camp program.
Not only do they have special school vacation camps, like the ones coming up for April break, they also have five weeks of summer camp planned this year. Sign up for multiple weeks, one week, or even just for a few days a week. Is your little one not quite ready for a full camp experience? Try out June Bugs offered Fridays in June, described below.
Their summer camps were so well received last year that they already have moms asking about it again for this year. The camp starts the second week of July and runs through the third week of August. Perfect timing for parents wondering if they can find a fun summer camp for the kids just before school starts. The camps last from 9:30 am to 1 pm and the targeted age range is is 4 to 11.
During their camp experience, the kids enjoy "edutainment" activities--fun things that help them learn while they are having fun. They don't realize it is learning until they are already fascinated. What else could you expect of a summer camp program organized by a certified teacher?
During camp, the kids bounce and have snacks. They also play games, sing songs, craft, and enjoy outside time. Sometimes it is wet outside time with water play. Even though the camp ends at 1 pm, kids and siblings are invited to bounce at the air conditioned Fun Factor for the rest of the day.
Spaces are limited in the camps and registration has begun. Sign up before April 30th and receive $5 off. Need to sign up more than one child? Fun Factor offers a 10% sibling discount. Fun Factor's June Bug program is a special program for preschoolers each Friday during the month of June. If preschool ends early or if your little one is ready to try out a preschool-style program, June Bugs is for you. Parents can stay and enjoy free Wi-Fi while the kids sing songs, craft, and play games. Or drop off and get that grocery shopping out of the way while the kids are cared for from 9:30 to 12. It is also an opportunity to meet other moms of preschoolers in the area.
