Session 2: Painting from the Landscape
During the August session of Outdoor Observations, students will create landscape sketches from the beautiful view of Walnut Hill Park in back of the NBMAA. Students will transfer these observational drawings to canvas in order to create an acrylic painting. The session will cover the basics of mixing acrylic paint to create colors natural to the environment as well as various methods of paint application. Leave this session knowing what it takes to create a visually interesting work from the sights of your own backyard.
