Thanksgiving is just a few days away now. It's so hard to believe the holiday season is upon us! If you, like us, are looking for easy ways to keep the kids entertained during this busy time — well, we've got ideas! Here are five FREE virtual events happening Nov. 16-23 kids will love, whether their interest is learning about other cultures, the solar system, dinosaurs, or cooking.  Read all about this week's picks and click on the links for more information and to register:

1. Celebrate Korean Culture in Bilingual Storytime

Join the New York Public Library and The Korean Cultural Center for a live, online program with songs, rhymes, and favorite read-aloud books. Thursday, Nov. 17

2. View Another Galaxy 

Take a virtual tour of the November sky using the telescope atop the Harvard Science Center with an astronomer! You'll zoom through the solar system with a few stops at the bright planets — Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn — before exiting the Milky Way and ending the tour by viewing another galaxy. Join the Harvard and Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics for this fun adventure through the cosmos! Thursday, Nov. 17

3. Talk To A Real Paleontologist

WonderLab Museum in Bloomington, Indiana, is hosting an online talk with a paleontologist! Dr. Jess Miller-Camp, from the Paleontology Lab at Indiana University, will speak about the challenges of learning about things that do not exist anymore. Come with questions! Friday, Nov. 18

4. Learn To Make Jicama Fries

Take a free online cooking class hosted by Cultured Kids Cuisine called "Thanksgiving with Dash of Ting: Jicama Fries w/ Garlic Parmesan." You'll get your ingredient list once you register! Sunday, Nov. 20

5. Join In A Virtual Storytime

Join educators from the National Postal Museum for a live, interactive storytime online! National Postal Museum educators will read stories aloud and lead related activities for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers. Monday, Nov. 21
