Kristen Baker
Publisher / Macaroni KID Southbury
Kristen was born and raised in Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Photojournalism. Since moving to Connecticut in 2013, with her family, she has taken on many roles including an Adjunct Photography Instructor for Tunxis Community College, Freelance photographer, Managing Editor for hulafrog.com and most recently Macaroni KID in January 2023. She is very involved in the community supporting local schools, Cub Scouts, athletic teams, and local small businesses. She has a passion for supporting neurodivergent children. Kristen has a keen eye in photography, design, marketing & social media expertise to help support and connect families to all our local businesses.

Deanna Russo
Editor-in-Chief, Macaroni KID Southbury
Deanna was born and raised here in Connecticut-she attended NVCC, CCSU, and has her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Bridgeport. She is a certified elementary education teacher as well as unique endorsed to teach dance in grades K-12. She currently teaches at Brass City Ballet in Middlebury and enjoys bringing her love for the arts to her students and the community. Deanna resides in the Watertown area with her husband and four children - As a mom she is always looking for fun places to visit and activities to partake in with her family. Deanna and Kristen hope to create a one-stop shop site for all things family friendly so you and your family can spend more time making the memories and less time searching for where and when to make that happen!
